Applied Mental Health Science Series - Mind Matters
Our new Applied Mental Health Science Series offers a collection of bitesize content developed by a range of experts in partnership with the MMI team to make high-quality, practical mental health information more accessible across the veterinary professions.
Do you want to further your knowledge and understanding of stress, and mental health conditions?
It can often be difficult to find trusted reliable sources of information about mental health, and it is important that individuals and organisations are able find and use health information they can rely on. We also know that individuals want more practical information to be able to have supportive conversations, make reasonable adjustments at work and signpost people to support.
Through this series, Mind Matters aims to promote the importance of mental health literacy for individuals, where help-seeking is normalised, and stigma is challenged, as well as providing practical information for managers and leaders. This series will ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is embedded so that employers can cultivate supportive practices, where all individuals and teams can thrive.
Further mental health content will be released as part of the Applied Mental Health Science Series in 2025/26.
In addition, in partnership with our RCVS Diversity & Inclusion team, we have launched the ‘Let’s talk adjustments’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness and empower everyone in veterinary workplaces, no matter their role, disability or health condition, to have important conversations about reasonable adjustments.
