Preliminary Investigation Committee
The Preliminary Investigation Committee (PIC) is a statutory committee under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.
Miranda Winram is a former Head of Strategy and Insight, and Board Member, of Forest Enterprise.
She was a Public Appointee to the Lord Chancellor’s Committee that recruits and makes disciplinary decisions for Magistrates for the South West of England. Miranda currently chairs the ICAEW Legal Services Committee; is an Independent Member of the Parole Board and a lay advisor to the NHS on data release.
Her regulatory experience also includes making decisions on press complaints at IPSO; chairing the IPSO Readers' Panel; making decisions on the Nursing and Midwifery conduct, competence and health Tribunals; making Investigating Committee decisions at the General Chiropractic Council.
Miranda enjoys dog walking, music festivals and skiing.
