What am I required to disclose to the RCVS?
Guidance for vets and vet nurses on what you must disclose to the RCVS, what’s excluded, when to disclose, and consequences of not doing so.
Professional veterinary practitioners have specific legal obligations regarding the disclosure of convictions and adverse findings. We're here to guide you through the process and provide support when you need it.
If you've received a conviction or adverse finding, you must notify us within three months, as highlighted under paragraph 5.3 of the Code of Professional Conduct.
This requirement applies to all registered veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses. It's a legal obligation that helps us maintain professional standards and public confidence in the veterinary profession.
