Memorandum to veterinary surgeons

Refresher courses

Veterinary surgeons who wish to remain as a member of the Inspectorate are reminded that they must maintain a ‘UK practising’ registration status, practise as equine veterinary surgeons e.g. more than 30% equine workload in clinical practice (being a minimum of 10 hours per week) and attend a RCVS refresher course every five years. In addition, they must complete a RCVS certificate of fitness to practise every 5 years.
