Legislative reform consultation

This consultation has now closed.

The responses from the public consultation on the wholesale reform of the legislation which governs veterinary professionals have been analysed and were shared with RCVS Council in June 2021.

Council members voted to adopt all of the recommendations in the Legislation Working Party’s final report.

RCVS Council also passed votes to accept some of the interim measures which were proposed relating to (‘mini’) Preliminary Investigation Committees (PICs) and establishing a Charter Case Protocol.
